Being an IAGP Affiliate is more than belonging to an international association. It creates opportunities to connect, exchange ideas, learn from one another and develop projects together.
IAGP's Sections and Committees bring together colleagues with different professional interests, cultures and approaches. Affiliate Organisations are warmly invited and encouraged to connect with them directly β to share ideas, propose webinars or workshops, collaborate on research, develop educational activities, or simply begin a conversation.

Affiliates in good standing may use the IAGP Affiliate Organisation logo in their own promotion β a visible sign of belonging to an international body.
How to make the connection
Choose one
Pick the Section or Committee closest to what you already do β or to what you are curious about. One is enough to start.
Write a short message
A paragraph is plenty: who you are, what your organisation does, and what you are offering or looking for. You do not need a finished project.
Let it grow
A simple connection can become a webinar, a workshop, a research collaboration, a joint project, a professional exchange β or a lasting international relationship.
IAGP Sections
Seven Sections, each with a chair who reads what you send. One message is enough to start.
Analytic Group
A meeting place for group analysts and colleagues interested in analytic approaches to groups. The Section promotes international and transdisciplinary exchange and plans webinars involving different analytic traditions.
Couple and Family Therapy
Connects professionals working with couples, families, children and young people, encouraging the exchange of clinical experiences, methodologies and different theoretical perspectives. A dedicated subsection focuses on group psychotherapy and psychodrama for children and adolescents.
Organisational Consultancy Section (OCS)
The Organisational Consultancy Section (OCS) applies group psychology and systemic thinking to help organisations become healthier, more effective, and human. We bring together consultants, therapists, and professionals from many fields who share one belief: understanding how group dynamics change organisations, work and leadership. For affiliate organisations, OCS offers a space for exchange, shared learning, cross-disciplinary dialogue, and practical tools for organisational life. We invite you to connect, contribute, and help shape a growing, international community that bridges theory and practice across cultures.
Expressive Arts Therapy
Brings together expressive arts, creativity and group psychotherapy through image, movement, sound, rhythm and other artistic forms. It is developing collaborations around expressive arts, education and healing in contexts of collective trauma.
Psychodrama
An international forum for psychodrama, sociometry, sociodrama and related approaches. The Section is also building an archive and library of historical psychodrama documents, and welcomes contributions of materials.
Transcultural
Creates dialogue across cultures and supports culturally informed approaches to group psychotherapy. Its activities include the Culture Circle initiative, international conversations and opportunities for mentorship, research and cross-cultural collaboration.
Young Professionals
Provides a space for students and emerging professionals to meet, develop projects, present their work and connect internationally. Affiliate Organisations are encouraged to connect their students with the Section.
IAGP Committees
Education Committee
Develops training, educational projects and international intervision and peer-supervision opportunities.
Affiliate Organisations are encouraged to explore joint educational activities and projects, particularly across countries and regions.
Research Committee
Encourages research engagement and connections between researchers, practitioners, Sections, Committees and Affiliate Organisations.
Share your research, connect researchers with colleagues internationally, explore collaborative projects, and contribute scientific and practice-based work to the wider IAGP community and to FORUM.
Social & Collective Trauma Committee
Connects professionals responding to war, violence, disasters and collective trauma.
The Committee offers opportunities for trauma-informed support, training, research and collaboration with other IAGP Sections and Committees.
Webinar Committee
Supports the development of IAGP online webinars and workshops, and welcomes proposals for future activities.

Membership Committee
Works to strengthen individual and organisational membership, participation, belonging and engagement across IAGP.
Affiliate Organisations can contribute valuable ideas about what members need, what creates a sense of belonging, and how IAGP can better serve, connect and engage members around the world.
Finance Committee
Provides strategic financial intelligence to ensure short and long-term sustainability by supporting project development, upholding ethical stewardship, and advancing mission alignment.

Ethics and Professional Standards Committee
Provides a space for reflection and dialogue on professional ethics and standards across different cultures, professions and contexts.
Affiliate Organisations are encouraged to contribute their perspectives and experiences to these important international conversations.
