AI-Powered Tool Launched to Support Self-Awareness in Psychotherapy
Awareness Therapy meets artificial intelligence — and IAGP members are invited to test it.
An innovative project in Awareness Therapy integrates artificial intelligence with psychotherapeutic methodology to support self-awareness, unlock human potential, and navigate personal obstacles.
As part of ongoing research into how artificial intelligence can support psychological growth, a novel AI prompt and a pilot application based on Google Gemini have been developed to foster individual awareness on demand. The project is rooted in Awareness Therapy — an integrative psychotherapeutic approach that views deep awareness as the core foundation of the psyche and the common denominator across therapeutic modalities.
The AI assistant guides users through self-reflection across four primary domains (bodily sensations, emotions, images, and thoughts), three temporal dimensions (past, present, and future), and three levels of depth (surface, causal, and potential).
Because the underlying AI functions in multiple languages, the application is internationally accessible to practitioners and individuals worldwide. A dedicated Telegram group has also been launched to facilitate peer exchange, gather user feedback, and explore AI-assisted reflection in practice.
